i. Requirements
-Ti-83 plus
-You will need to have at least 18k of RAM free to run Master Artillery, This does not include all the lists and variables that are made and used by Master Artilery. The lists and real variables will take about and additional 1K of RAM. These are created by the program, and at the completion of a game(when all the rounds have been played) they will be automatically deleted

1. Features
This version of Basic Artillery is a fully functional artillery combat game. There can be any number of players from a minimum of two to a maximum of six. You will also be able to select which tanks you want to be controlled by the calculator. In this version, the calculator controlled tanks have nearly 100% accuracy.
There are two types of Game play. Free for all and Teams. Free for all is every man for himself. Last one alive wins.
In team play, the tanks are divided into two teams. You may have any number of calculator tanks on any team, including your own. The calculator tanks on your team will recognize friendly from foe tanks, and will only destroy the enemy tanks. You must destroy all of the enemy team's
tanks to win.
There are now SEVEN different weapons that may be used.
Standard- the normal explosive artillery shell. Has a small explotion, but you never run out.
Nuke- Similar to the standard shell, only the explotion is much, much larger.
Laser- a beam weapon. Goes is a strait line. It bounces off walls, but explodes when it hits the ground.
Digger- the weakest weapon. Has very little capabitily, making it very inexpensive to buy. When it hits the ground, it erodes it away. If you're lucky, it will erode all the ground out from under a tank, causing it to fall and possibly be destroyed
Cruise Missle- A rocket that is guided by you. Push the arrow keys to give it motion in that direction. If the fuel runs out, the missle explodes. Good for those hard to reach areas.
Ego Cannon- Similar to the laser, but it has a greater blast radius, and does not bounce off walls. It flies until it hits a wall or reached the preset range, then explodes.
M.I.R.V.- The most dangerous weapon to your enemies, as well as you. This weapon will fly as one single projectile until it starts to fall down, when it breaks into three bombs. You must use caution with the M.I.R.V., it has been known to explode in the air, and do various other dangerous things such as break apart prematurely and kill the user's own team mates and / or the user.

*The tanks can also fall. If a tank falls too far, then it is destroyed upon impact.

2. Game Play Instructions

send the group ARTILY to your calculator, and ungroup it.
There are several subprograms that go along with it.
To start, run the program ARTAMSTR. The intro screen will come up with its little animation. You can watch the animation, or press any button to more on to the next screen. A menu will come up with the options NEW and OLD. If you do not have a game in progress that you just quit, select new. This starts a new game. You will be asked how much starting cash you want. Enter a number. This is the amount of funds each player will have to buy weapons at the start of the game. You will be asked how many players, 2 to 6. Enter the number of players/tanks. Then it asks you TEAMS?1-YES,2-NO This is a no brainer. type one for teams and two for free for all. The teams are determined by splitting the tank location straight down the center of the screen. ie. if you had six tanks, the three on the left would be team one and the three on the right would be team two. If the number of tanks is even, then team one will have one more tank on it than team two. The next screen that appears has two columns, on for tank number and robot. Moving the cursor adjacent to a tank number will toggle the robot status of that tank.
Then You will be asked how many rounds you want. This will be the number of games that will be played before the scoring takes place.

Then the map starts its generation. This takes about 20 to 30 seconds, 15 to draw the terrain, and another 5 to 15 for the tanks to "paradrop" to their locations.
The person to go first is chosen randomly. The tanks that is ready to fire/ take his turn will have a small plus sign directly above it. If it is a computer tank, then the computer will select a target and fire. If is it a human, then the plus will remain there until you press enter. Then you have your choice of weapons. Select one, and then the picture of the battlefield will return, with a caption at the top. The captions are self explanitory. For the ANGLE: there will be a number, the angle your tank barrel is in relation to a straight horizontal line, and a < or > symbol. The < or> indicate the direction your tank is facing. < and you are facing left, >and you are facing right. This is the direction your weapon will fly if you fire.
To Change the angle and power
Angle: press: TRACE key to rotate counter clockwise by 10 , press GRAPH key to rotate clock wise by 10
press the left arrow to rotate counter clockwise by 1
press the right arrow key to rotate clockwise by 1
Power(for ego ecannon it will be range)
: press 2ND key to raise by 10
Press ALPHA to lower by 10
press the up arrow key to raise by 1
press the down arrow key to lower by 1
Press the enter key to fire
*It may take a little practice to figure out, but not much if you are familiar with clockwise and counter clock wise

After you fire, you can watch the weapon fly through the air and hit the ground, tearing a hole in it.
The next tank in line will then take his turn, ect. ect. if you are in free for all, the next tank to go is on the firing tank's right.
If you are in team mode, then one tank will be selected at ramdom from a team, and the team who's turn it is to fire alternates, ie. one tank from team one, then one tank from team to, and so on.
After the final round in the game, The screen will display "GAME OVER"
and then rank the players or teams in accordance to the number of victories they have.

3. Bugs

This game is massive, and after playing several rounds in a row, you will come across the ERROR MEM mesage. This is no problem, just quit the game, and start it up again.
There should be no bugs in the game, but it is possible that some were overlooked while the game was being tested. Some things that could cause a bug: quiting the game while still playing and deleting critical lists, ect.
If there is any bug you do discover, then let me know. Send an e-mail with the game version number, where the bug occurred, and anything else that would be relevent in fixing the problem.
E-mail me at: oh_one_tim@hotmail.com if you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or bug reports. Thanks.
